DC104 Rehabilitation Services, Evaluation Tools

Description: From this module, you will gain a basic understanding of facility evaluations through basic (visual) tools. Part A case mix and Part B case mix analysis will provide additional insight into this topic. We will also discuss restorative programs and their impact on the quality of care for your residents. In addition, we will cover staffing evaluations through goal documentation, interventions and coding.

You will learn:

104.1. Comprehend how to conduct a Facility Evaluation using provided tools.
104.1.1. Match the correct Rehabilitation Department LBWA Checklist step with its associated definition.
104.1.2. Be able to define the S.W.O.T. model.
104.1.3. Given a mock Therapist’s Self Assessment, associate key characterizations based on the provided comments.
104.2. Be able to understand concepts for Part A case mix and Part B case mix analysis.
104.2.1. Be able to identify and describe the 11 concepts making up Part A case mix strategies.
104.2.2. Be able to identify and describe the 7 concepts making up Part B case mix strategies.
104.3. Demonstrate staffing evaluations through goal documentation, interventions and coding.
104.3.1. Provided an observation following an evaluation of your therapy gym, identify proper insights given you from your analysis.
104.3.2. Be able to identify the 7 Skilled Modalities and Procedures as defined in the SNF Application and Guidelines.
104.3.3. Be able to identify the 4 components of therapy goal documentation.
