DC106 External Monitoring
Description: During this module, we will define financial and clinical monitoring tools (programs and how) to evaluate your facility’s performance. The evaluation process will enable a proactive approach to the current financial picture. As you evaluate the financial data you will be able to recognize data relevant to the clinical piece. Attaining the ability to interpret data that allow that has the potential for significant impact on the financial outcome has never been more important than in today’s healthcare environment.
You will learn:
106.1. Demonstrate ability to interpret facility reports using State comptroller provided information.
106.1.1. Demonstrate your capability to establish and access your State Comptroller internet services account.
106.1.2 Understand what normalized cash flow means to your facility.
106.1.3 Interpret the comptroller’s State to Vendor Payments Report.
106.2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of MEDICARE FISS
106.2.1. Demonstrate interpretive skills of claims submission data.
106.2.2. Demonstrate quantitative analysis of FISS information against facility reports.
106.2.3. Demonstrate understanding of MERIT monitoring tool for facility reporting
106.3. Understand how to utilize government provided rating tools in marketing programs.
