Dr. Suzy Harrington, DNP, MS, RN, CHES
Dr. Suzy Harrington concentrated her Rush University Doctorate in Nursing Practice in healthcare business and health promotion, earning the College of Nursing Dean's Award and the Rush Nurse Alumni Association Award. She received her CHES in 2001, after graduating with her MS in Health Sciences. She also holds a BS in Nursing from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Dr. Harrington currently serves as the Health Education Program Manager at Randolph AFB Health and Wellness Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Harrington's work experience includes serving as Director of Education at the Central Colorado AHEC in Denver, Manager of Clinical Services in Baltimore, and Outcomes Management Project Director for an Army grant. Her nursing experience includes critical care nurse, community health nurse, nurse recruiter, school health nurse, radiology nurse, and military nursing. She has practiced in Sacramento, Ft. Worth, Omaha, Spokane, and Baltimore.

Harrington is also a free-lance healthcare writer. Her work includes numerous comprehensive projects for Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, Bass/Wiley, El Sevier, and Lippincott, Williams, and Wilkins publishers, and the Johns Hopkins "Dome" Newsletter, She has written national feature and cover stories for Nursing Spectrum Magazine, plus numerous online newsletters, student health quizzes, health inventories, and various other projects. Dr. Harrington contributes to many professional and community organizations, such as DHPE and SOPHE.
